My family visits when they can, and my granddaughters and I began painting together in 2019. We continued in 2020 and 2021, but saw each other rarely during the pandemic, with our last paintings in December 2022.
The four paintings in the front – the flowers, Christmas tree, and rainbow – are our paintings from December 2022. The two flower paintings are my oldest granddaughter’s (on the left) and mine (on the right). The Christmas tree was painted by the middle granddaughter, and the rainbow by the youngest. We had a a great time continuing our tradition and they all remain excited and thoughtful about their creations.
